Burj2Burj 2026 Road Closures

Race day requires temporary road closures to ensure the safety of runners, spectators, and the wider community. Below is a detailed breakdown of all road closures and traffic movements in place for Burj2Burj 2026, covering the start area, finish area, and key sections of the route.

We strongly recommend planning travel ahead of time and allowing extra time for journeys on race weekend. Signage and traffic marshals will be in place throughout the affected areas.

START AREA

Trade Centre Street around Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

D86 Al Mustaqbal Street southbound.

FINISH

Al Dharmeet Street

Unauthorised cars parked here after that time, will be towed.

ROUTE

Al Mustaqbal Street and Financial District

05h30 to 08h30

  • D86/ Al Mustaqbal St. southbound closed from Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
  • Runners move onto inner lanes of Lower Financial Street westbound, Inner lanes partially closed during this window.

Al Safa Street

05h30 to 08h30

  • Al Safa St. westbound inner lane partially closed.

Al Wasl Road (Iranian Hospitial Area)

05h30 to 08h25

  • Al Wasl Road northbound inner lane partially closed.
  • No left turns onto Al Hudaiba Road.

2nd December Street

05h30 to 08h25

  • 2nd December Street eastbound inner lane, partially closed.
  • Jumeirah Beach Road traffic diverted onto Al Wasl Road southbound.
  • Al Mina Street northbound traffic diverted to D73 or U-turn towards the Port.
  • Traffic from D73 must U-turn or turn right onto Jumeirah Beach Road northbound.
  • Southbound Jumeirah Beach Road traffic must U-turn towards the Port.

Jumeirah Beach Road before Canal Bridge

06h30 to 09h20

  • Southbound Inner lanes partially closed.

Jumeirah Beach Road after Canal Bridge

06h30 to 09h20

  • Southbound fully closed.

RESIDENT ACCESS

Al Manara and Umm Al Sheif Areas

06h30 to 10h30

  • Vehicles will be diverted via Al Manara or Umm Al Sheif intersections to exit.
  • Vehicle access will remain open but controlled throughout the race.
  • Entry and exit points will be managed by traffic marshals at all times.
  • Temporary holding areas will be used to pause vehicles when runners are passing.
  • Vehicles will be released in phases once it is safe to move.

EXPECT DELAYS & PLAN AHEAD

These closures allow Burj2Burj to run safely while minimising disruption where possible.
