Race Information

What is the date of the race?

Burj2Burj takes place on Sunday, 8 Feb 2026 — the perfect way to kick off your running season.

What time does the race start?

The race begins in the early morning to take advantage of Dubai’s cool winter morning and ensure the best conditions for runners. The time will be confirmed soon, so keep an eye on our social media and your email inbox.

What is the official race distance?

Burj2Burj is a certified half-marathon (21.1 km).

Is the course officially measured and certified?

Yes, the course is officially measured and will be certified by Worlds Athletics to ensure accuracy and recognition.

Is there a time limit to complete the race?

Yes, the cut-off time is 3 hours from the official start time.

Are there pacers available?

Yes, pacers will be available for the following target finish times; 1h29, 1h44, 1h59, 2h14, 2h29, 2h59

Will there be km markers along the route?

Yes, each kilometre will be clearly marked with signage.

Registration & Entry

How do I register for Burj2Burj?

You can register online through our official website: www.burj2burj.com

What’s included in the entry fee?

Your entry includes:

  • Official race bib with timing chip
  • Event shirt
  • Finisher medal, for all runners who cross the finish line
  • Race-day hydration at aid stations
  • Medical support

Can I register on race day?

No, registration must be completed in advance. Race day entries are not available. Capacity is limited and entries will close once that capacity is hit.

Can I transfer my entry to someone else?

Transfers may be permitted before 30 November 2025 for an additional fee of AED50. No transfers will be permitted after this cut off date.

Can I defer my entry to the following year?

Deferrals may be permitted before 30 November 2025 for an additional fee of AED50. No deferrals will be permitted after this cut off date, except in the case of medical emergencies. Supporting documentation will be required.

Do you offer refunds or partial refunds?

All entries are non-refundable, as per our registration policy.

What is the minimum age to participate?

Participants must be 16 years or older on race day.

Can I switch between the half-marathon and any shorter distances?

Burj2Burj is a single-distance half-marathon event. No alternate distances are offered for 2026.

Race Pack & Bib Collection

When and where do I collect my race pack?

Race pack collection will be held in Dubai during Race Week (details TBA). Location, timings, and what to bring will be shared by email and on the website.

Can I collect my bib at the start (on race day)?

No, there is no service available to collect your bib or race pack at the start of the race or anywhere on race day.

What do I need to bring to collect my bib?

Please bring your confirmation email (printed or digital) and a valid photo ID.

Can someone collect my race pack on my behalf?

Yes, with a copy of your confirmation and photo ID.

Can I have my race pack mailed?

Race packs must be collected in person. Mailing is not available.

Event Shirt, Medal & Finisher Items

Is a race shirt included?

Yes, all participants receive an event shirt.

What size options are available?

Shirts are available in unisex sizes from XS to XXL. Sizing guides will be provided during registration.

Can I exchange my shirt for a different size?

No, event shirts are made-to-order so the size curves and availability of additional shirts is extremely limited. We will not allow exchanges.

Will all finishers receive a medal?

Yes, every runner who crosses the finish line within the time limit receives a custom-designed Burj2Burj finisher medal.

Are there finisher photos?

Yes, professional photographers will be on the course and at the finish. Photos will be available for purchase at least 2 days after the race.

Training & Community

Do you offer training plans or coaching support?

Yes, free training plans and community runs are available leading up to race day.

Are there local training groups or runs I can join?

Yes! We partner with running communities and coaches across Dubai. Keep an eye on our social media for info and updates.

Can beginners sign up?

Absolutely. If you train consistently, the Burj2Burj course is a great goal for newer runners.

Elite & Competitive Runners

How do I qualify for elite entry?

Elite entries are by application only. Please complete this form to be considered for the elite field.

Are there cash prizes or awards?

Yes, cash prizes and trophies are awarded to the top 3 Elite male and female finishers. Age group awards will also be recognised with a unique medal.

Do you provide timing chips?

Yes, your race bib includes an integrated timing chip.

Payment & Policies

Do you offer corporate group rates?

Yes, contact us for more details at team@worldsiconic.com.

What is your cancellation policy?

All entries are non-refundable. Transfers may be available before a published deadline.

Merchandise

Will there be official race photography?

Yes, photos will be captured at multiple points on the course and finish line, and available for purchase after the race.

How do I download my race photos?

A link to the platform will be made available within 48–72 hours post-race.

Where can I find the latest race updates?

Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and the official website for real-time updates and announcements.

Is there a race day info desk?

Yes, there will be on-site info booths at both the start and finish zones.

Course & Logistics

Are there aid/water stations on the route?

Yes, there will be hydration stations every 2.5–3 km, offering water and basic first aid.

Are there toilets on the course?

Yes, portable toilets will be available at the start, finish, and at every aid station on the course.

Are medical services available during the race?

Absolutely. Medical teams will be stationed throughout the course and at the finish line, ready to assist if needed.

Is the course suitable for first-time runners?

Yes! The course is fast, mostly flat, and ideal for both experienced runners and first-timers.

Are headphones/earphones allowed?

While not prohibited, we encourage runners to keep volume low and stay aware of their surroundings at all times.

Baggage & Transport

Is there a bag drop at the start?

No, there is no bag drop at the start.

Where is the bag drop?

At the Expo, there will be a dedicated area for bag drop and collection. You cannot drop bags on the morning of the race.

How do I get to the start line?

We recommend using public transport or ride-share services. Transport guides will be provided closer to race day.

Is there parking available?

Limited parking is available near the start, but we strongly encourage public transport due to road closures.

International Runners

Is Burj2Burj open to international participants?

Absolutely. We welcome runners from all over the world.

What’s the weather typically like in Dubai in January?

January offers ideal running conditions, with early morning temperatures averaging 15–18°C and low humidity.

Is English spoken at the event?

Yes, all official communication, signage, and support is provided in English.

Supporters & Spectators

Can friends and family watch along the course?

Yes, there are many accessible viewing spots, especially near major landmarks and the final stretch.

Is the finish line open to spectators?

Yes, Sunset Beach is open to all supporters. We encourage friends and family to cheer runners in.

Are there cheer zones or official viewing areas?

Yes, designated cheer zones will be marked on the course map and include music, entertainment, and MCs.

Media & PR

How do I secure a media pass for the event?

Email marketing@worldsiconic.com with your credentials and proposal.

I’m covering the event, can you share information or photos?

Yes, email marketing@worldsiconic.com with your article outline and needs.

Can content creators work with the event?

Yes, email marketing@worldsiconic.com with your profile, demographics and performance results, and proposal.

Who can I speak to about partnering with Burj2Burj?

Do you accept in-kind or product partnerships?

Yes! If your product or service can enhance the participant or event experience, we’d love to discuss an in-kind partnership. This includes hydration, nutrition, wellness, fitness, and tech products.

What kind of exposure can partners expect?

Depending on your package, exposure may include on-site branding, digital and social media visibility, logo placement on race materials, and opportunities to activate at the Retail Expo.

Can partners activate on-site at the event?

Absolutely. Partners may have the opportunity to host branded spaces, run product demos, offer experiences, or engage with attendees in the Retail Expo zone — subject to space availability and event alignment.

Can partners bring their own content and production teams?

Yes, however all content and production teams need to apply for a media permit through marketing@worldsiconic.com. It is your responsibility to secure the necessary permits from the respective government entities. The Burj2Burj event permits will not cover your team/s.

Burj2Burj Expo & Vendors

What is the Burj2Burj Expo?

The Expo is a curated experience and marketplace open to all attendees and the public. It features a vibrant mix of wellness, lifestyle, fitness, and F&B vendors. It’s the perfect opportunity to showcase your brand to a highly engaged, health-conscious audience.

Who can apply to be a vendor?

We welcome local and global brands across the following categories: fitness gear, activewear, nutrition, skincare, wellness tech, recovery tools, artisan goods, healthy food and beverage, and more.

How can I apply to exhibit?

Email expo@worldsiconic.com — share details about your business, products, and booth preferences. A team member will follow up with availability and next steps.

Are food and beverage vendors allowed?

Yes — provided you meet local health and safety regulations and can supply any necessary permits. Preference is given to vendors offering healthy and sustainable options.

Can vendors bring their own content and production teams?

Yes, however all content and production teams need to apply for a media permit through marketing@worldsiconic.com. It is your responsibility to secure the necessary permits from the respective government entities. The Burj2Burj event permits will not cover your team/s.
