THE ROUTE

You’ll start in the heart of Dubai, running shoulder to shoulder past some of the most iconic architecture in the world. The skyline leads the way — but it’s the energy on the ground that drives you.

Every kilometer is brought to life by the people of this city: communities cheering, cultures converging, and the spirit of Dubai on full display.

The course is fast and mostly flat, with just enough edge to keep you thinking. As you crest the Canal Bridge, sunrise to your left and sea to your right, take it in — it’s a view earned by every stride.

Then comes the final stretch. A turn toward Sunset Beach. The finish line ahead. And a crowd that carries you over it.

SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THE RACE

AID STATIONS

There are multiple aid stations at the start, finish and along the route. Each equipped with hydration, medics and toilets.

FIRST AID

The whole Burj2Burj route is covered by ambulances and the Event Village has a dedicated area to treat any running injury.

SECURITY

The event is run in conjunction with the Dubai Police to manage road closures and emergency communications.

LIMITED PLASTIC

We make intentional decisions about our partners and suppliers, to move towards a more sustainable event.

PRIZES AND AWARDS

Burj2Burj is a World Athletics Elite-labeled race with a prize purse  in line with Gold-labeled events.

Our goal is to attract a global elite field and manage this field according to the World Athletics standards.

Prize money is awarded for selected Emirati categories and special medals are awarded to selected Age Group finishers.
PRIZE MONEY
ELITE
There is prize money for the first ten (10) male and female placements.

EMIRATI
There is prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female placements.
BONUS PRIZE
ELITE ONLY
A bonus prize is allocated for:
  • 1st male under 60 min
  • 1st female under 70 min
ANTI-DOPING
An Anti-Doping team will be at the event. All elite athletes eligible for prize money will be selected at random for testing on site upon completion of the race. Any athletes who fail the test, will not be eligible for the prize money, will receive a “no finish” time, they will be disqualified and also may be reported to national federation and/or World Athletics. No prize money will be shared until results have been passed and declared with Burj2Burj race officials.

THE MINI MARATHON

Burj2Burj is proud to welcome the next generation of superstars! Join us for a family morning, with warm ups, treats and a special run for the kids.

The little athletes can choose to do a 1km or 2km loop, and parents are welcome to run with them.

Get to the stage at the Burj2Burj Expo at 7am on 7 Feb 2026, to collect their event shirt and do the warm up with all our mascots. The race starts promptly at 8am and medals will be handed to all finishers after the race.

Mini Marathoners do not need to go to bib collection before the race, just bring their registration confirmation email to the stage on the day of the Mini Marathon to get their event shirt and to start warming up!

ONLY 500 SPACES

Capacity is limited for the Mini Marathon, so register your little runners now to secure their spot.
Bib collection is not required.

WHAT THEY GET

Each mini athlete will receive an event shirt and a medal for participating in the Mini Marathon.
There is no timing or place prizes.
