Burj2Burj isn't only about running through Dubai's icons. It's about the dedication it takes to reach the start line, and the finish. For Burj2Burj 2027, that dedication is rewarded with a prize pool of more than AED 280,000, recognising elite athletes, Emirati runners and the fastest age-group competitors in the field.

Burj2Burj is Dubai's iconic 21.1km half marathon, taking place on 24 January 2027.

Elite Prize Money: Men and Women

The Burj2Burj elite field brings together some of the fastest half marathon runners from the UAE, the region and around the world. The top ten finishers in each gender share an identical prize structure.

  • 1st — AED 40,000
  • 2nd — AED 20,000
  • 3rd — AED 16,000
  • 4th — AED 12,000
  • 5th — AED 8,000
  • 6th — AED 6,000
  • 7th — AED 4,000
  • 8th — AED 3,000
  • 9th — AED 2,000
  • 10th — AED 800

Total elite prize money: AED 111,800 per gender, or AED 223,600 across the men's and women's fields.

Elite Sub-Purse Bonus: Breaking the Barrier

Alongside the main purse, Burj2Burj rewards exceptional times with a performance-based bonus:

  • Men: AED 12,000 for the first male finisher to break 60 minutes
  • Women: AED 12,000 for the first female finisher to break the current course record

The sub-purse is awarded only when these times are achieved on the day.

Emirati Prize Money: Men and Women

As a UAE-born event, Burj2Burj is dedicated to recognising and supporting local talent. The top three Emirati men and the top three Emirati women each receive:

  • 2nd — AED 2,500
